Website Top Rankings - Keyphrase Secret

In my years of experience, I witnessed website owners struggling to gain website top rankings. They do not understand a critical issue: keyphrases. Most believe that a word searched large number of times is good. For instance, a word searched 3,000 times a day in Google, Yahoo, and MSN combined is believed to be important. It may also be a headache using it to gain website top rankings.

Assuming you are one of those owners, a meaningful experience I had with two clients should give you a better understanding of how to conceive this vital issue. Bring up the chair, and let me tell you.

Once upon a time, two ladies in Boulder, Colorado in the USA contacted me. They had a nice website, but not built with Search Engines in mind. It would have been a waste of efforts optimizing existing web pages. There was another bad issue they confronted: very few surfers look for their otherwise beautiful Gift Baskets For Pets. I could have achieved top rankings for their website with my eyes closed.

Doing my keyphrase homework, I found out that 2,400 times a day surfers in Google, Yahoo, and MSN combined search for Boy Dog Names, Girl Dog Names, Puppy Names, Cat Names, Kitty Names, etc. In order to gain top rankings for the ladies' website, I decided that I should give surfers what surfers want: pets' names.

I designed five web pages which allow full optimization, and they matched the website design and colors. Then, using appropriate tools, I chose five important keyphrases and five slightly less important keyphrases. Each web page will be optimized for one "primary" and one "secondary" keyphrase.

Pay attention to what comes next.

Using the Internet, I found people and the names they gave their pets. They were Queen Elizabeth II, John F. Kennedy, Winston Churchill, Charles de Gaulle, Bill Gates, Frank Sinatra, Ringo Starr, Sylvester Stalone, John Wayne, Tiger Woods, General Paton, John Rockefeller III, Lucille Ball, Bob Hope, Celine Dion, and Arnold Schwarznegger just to mention some.

Then, I chose a primary keyphrase ~such as Boy Dog Names~ to create the web page Boy-Dog-Names.html and I dedicated that web page to show which celebrities gave which name to their "boy dogs". Additionally, I created four web pages using the remaining four primary and secondary keyphrases showing the exact same but for Cat Names, Kitty Names, Girl Dog Names, etc.

After their website top rankings were achieved for the five optimized web pages, surfers arrived and found a captivating version of Pets' Names given by celebrities from across the world. At the bottom of each web page, they also found a tastefully designed screen-wide graphic inviting them to click on it and to visit a splendid collection of Gifts Baskets For Pets.

Since those days, my clients remain making sales; and I got a check for my fees.

"Put on your thinking cup" when it comes to choose and how to use keyphrase to gain website top rankings. My artilce "Website Top Rankings - For Existing Webpages?" provides knowledge that you need to know about. Apply it, and I'll see you at the top.
